Craps is a game of chance and is played on a large sunken table with a pair of dice that are thrown by the Shooter.
While the game does look complex and has its own extensive jargon like ‘boxcars’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘horn bet’ it is a relatively simple game to master. These
bets, along with the basic "pass" and "don't pass" bets, are
explained in the accompanying diagram. If
another number is rolled initially, this number is called the point, and that
roll “Establishes the Point”. A 2, 3 or 12 loses. Other players may join in and place their own bets. Each dealer handles all the players on his side.
Come-Out Roll: this is any roll before a point is established. After
seeing all bets are down, the stickman pushes a few sets of dice to the shooter.
Laying the Odds: this is the opposite of Betting the odds. Here the player is betting that a 7
will be rolled before the established point is rolled. What you win is the
equivalent amount of chips you have bet on the pass line.
