Craps is one of the few truly social games played in modern Casinos, and one of the few played with dice.
Players stand around a large, sunken table. These
bets, along with the basic "pass" and "don't pass" bets, are
explained in the accompanying diagram. One person, the shooter (who may or may not be betting), rolls two dice. Placing a Pass Line bet, you are betting that the shooter rolls the established
point before rolling a 7, or you are betting that the initial roll will be
either a 7 or 11. After the point is rolled the dice will be rolled continuously until the same point is rolled again or a 7. These bets win or lose based upon the next roll of the dice as their come out roll.
Once the point has been
established, the player wins if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point.
Betting the Odds: once the point has been established, the player can bet 2 or more times the
amount of their original bet that the point will be rolled before a 7. Craps is a game where you bet on the numbers you think the next roll of dice will produce. If, on the first roll, you make a
7 or 11, you've rolled a "natural" and you win. This is where you place a bet on either the Pass Line or the Don't Pass Line and try to roll a 7 or 11.
